It's hard to know who you can ask for a recommendation letter. But don't be afraid to talk to potential mentors and figure out their interest in supporting you. Here are five best practices to remember as you search for a mentor!
Today we're going to talk about finding a mentor to write your recommendation letters for college. Most Universities require 3 letters of recommendation.
Number one. Participate in class.
Number two. Figure out which teacher would recommend you as a strong student and as a good person.
Number three. Ask your teacher, coach or employer at least 4 weeks before the letter is due.
Number four. Make it easy. Write a short description of yourself and your accomplishments to help your recommenders write the letter and also give them an addressed, stamped envelope to mail the letter.
Number five. Always say Thank You.
